Counting Sheep? Learn Strategies for Better Sleep

Karma Yoga Center
Saturday, May 12th
1:30 – 3:30

Poor sleep can adversely affect everything from your looks and sex life to your ability to lose weight and think clearly. Specific intervention strategies for sleep issues depend on individual symptoms, causes and constitution but we’ll have a general discussion that will help you identify and troubleshoot.  You’ll then be guided through a practice designed to balance the nervous system using postures, breath adaptation and seated pranayama (breathing). Practice will end in time for Q&A.
Please contact Laurie ahead of time to let her know what type of sleep issue(s) you have: thrive@rockymountainyoga.com.

Resilience for Brilliance

Karma Yoga Center
Saturday, June 9, 2018
1:30 – 3:30

Resilience at all levels of our being is a key component of our wellness plan. Learn tools of Yoga Therapy to cultivate resilience. We’ll start by discussing why the ancients developed the practice of Yoga in the first place and how our resilience is undermined by common stressors that include poor diet, sleep, movement and thought patterns. Then you’ll be guided through a practice intended to build resilience using postures and breath adaptation that will prepare the body and mind for seated meditation and pranayama (breathing). Please come having thought about your own degree of resilience and what, specifically, has been holding you back from brilliance!
